The customer page and properties
Four tabs (Overview, Work, Money, Notes), the action buttons, and how to add and use properties.
Open a customer from the list or from search. The top shows the name, stage, the source (“via Website” for example), tags and quick links: call, text, email and a map link for the address.
Buttons under the name
- New quote: starts a quote for this customer and their first property.
- Edit: opens the same form used to add a customer.
- Log call / note: saves an activity. Types are Phone call, Note, Meeting / site visit, Email (sent outside VisionScaper) and Text (sent from my phone).
- Schedule visit: opens a visit titled “Site visit – name”.
- Measure property: opens the Measure tool for this customer.
- Download contact card: gives a vCard you can open on your phone.
The four tabs
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Overview | Details (prefers, best time, budget, access, pets and so on), a Marketing card with consent, and other contacts |
| Work | Properties, Quotes & jobs, and Measurements |
| Money | Invoices and + New invoice |
| Notes | Contractor notes (private) and History |
Properties
A customer can have several properties. Each property card shows photos (an aerial plus any you add), a plan summary and buttons:
- Create a landscape plan (or Plan wizard if a plan exists)
- Open 2D plan (when a plan has shapes)
- Add photo: you are asked what the photo is of (front, back, left side, right side, structure, existing landscape)
- Check slope: appears when the property has map coordinates. It reports the slope across the lot as a percentage and a class
- Notes: soil, sun, drainage, access
Steps: add another property
- Open the customer, then the Work tab.
- Tap + Add property.
- Type the street, town and state and pick the address from the list. It must be at least a street, town and state.
- Tap Save.
Tips
- If a customer has more than one property, the quote screen asks which one the quote is for.
- Log every call. The History tab becomes your record.
- The slope check is measured from map data and is a guide, not a survey (not verified beyond the screen text).
If something goes wrong
- No “Check slope” button. The property has no saved map point yet.
- Photos missing. The card says “No photos yet.” Add some.
- Wrong property on a quote. Open the quote and pick another in the Property drop-down before it is sent.
