Settings → Appearance & layout: scope, search and Look tab
Every control at the top of Appearance & layout and on its Look tab: scope, mode, 13 ready-made looks, brand colors, tint and AI theme.
On this page
Open the Contractor Hub, choose Settings, pick the Business group, then the Appearance & layout tab. This tab changes how VisionScaper looks and how its screens are arranged. It has up to seven inner tabs: Look, Colors, Text, Shape & spacing, Layout, History and (site owner only) Site controls. This article covers the top of the screen and the Look tab. The others have their own articles.
Everything you change previews live on the whole app. Changes are checked for readability. Nothing is kept until you save or publish.
Before you start
- Decide who the change is for. The first control, Change the look for, picks the scope.
- Contractors see Just me and My business. The site owner also sees Whole site. A homeowner sees only Just me.
- If the site owner has locked a group of settings, you see a note such as “The site owner has locked these settings” and the matching controls are switched off.

Use my brand color on proposals, invoices and other pages my customers see customer_pages |
When on, your brand color carries over to customer-facing pages after you publish. Only the brand color carries over, adjusted to stay readable. Your internal layout never changes what customers see. | Tick the box (My business scope only). | Off by default. |
Steps
- Open Settings → Business → Appearance & layout.
- Under Change the look for, tap My business (or Just me).
- On the Look tab choose Light, dark or high contrast.
- Try a tile under Ready-made looks. Use Undo if you do not like it.
- Under Your brand colors, pick Brand / primary, Secondary and Main call to action, then the Background tint.
- Optional: describe a look under Describe it — AI theme and press Create it.
- Contractors: tick Use my brand color on proposals, invoices and other pages my customers see if you want it.
- Press Preview on devices to see it on phone, tablet and computer widths.
- Save: Save my look for Just me, or Review & publish for My business and Whole site. See the history and publishing article for details.
Tips
- A color that would be hard to read is nudged just enough and you are told. You can press Auto next to a color on the Colors tab to hand it back to VisionScaper.
- “Match my device” is a good choice when your crew uses phones with different settings.
- You do not have to save to try things. Leaving the screen without saving drops the preview.
If something goes wrong
- A control is greyed out. The site owner locked that group. The note says so.
- Readability problems are shown. You cannot publish until they are fixed. Press Reset on the colors involved or choose lighter or darker colors.
- Create it shows an error. The AI could not be reached. Try again or choose a ready-made look.
