Property and activity-note forms

The small forms for adding a property, property photo, property notes and logging a call or note.

Contractor Hub → Customers → open a customer. The Properties section has the property buttons and the top of the page has Log call / note.

A customer can have several properties. Each property keeps its own address, photos, notes, slope check and 2D plan. These small pop-ups are how you add and edit them. This article covers the three pop-ups that have an input box.

Fields

Add a property (pop-up)

Field (exact label) What it does for VisionScaper What to enter and example Default / notes
Property address ((input)) Creates a new property on this customer. Used by quotes, visits, measuring and route planning. Start typing and pick from the list, e.g. 48 Birch Rd, Avon, CT. Needs at least 6 characters or it asks you to type street, town and state.
Save (Add a property) Creates the property and reloads the customer page.

Property card buttons that ask a question

Field (exact label) What it does for VisionScaper What to enter and example Default / notes
Add photo (button) (photo step) Opens your file picker, then asks “What is this photo of?” and saves the picture on the property. Answer with one word such as front, back, left side, right side, structure or existing landscape. Default answer is front. front
Notes (button) (data.notes) Asks “Property notes (soil, sun, drainage, access…)” and saves your text on the property. It shows next to the plan summary. e.g. Clay soil, full sun, drains toward street.
Check slope (button) (slope) Appears only when the property has map coordinates. Looks up elevation around the lot and stores the slope percent and class on the property; the quote page then shows the slope. Press once; the message tells you the percent and class.
Create a landscape plan / Plan wizard / Open 2D plan Open the plan wizard or the 2D plan editor for this property. The plan editor itself is documented with the Designer.

Log call / note (pop-up)

Details (text) The text saved in the customer’s history. What happened and the next step.
Save to history Adds the entry to the history list. Nothing is sent to the customer.

Steps

  1. Open the customer from Customers.
  2. To add a property press + Add property, type the address, pick the suggestion, press Save.
  3. On a property card press Add photo, choose the picture, answer the question with a one-word label.
  4. Press Notes to record soil, sun, drainage or access. Press OK in the box.
  5. If the property has a map pin, press Check slope once and wait for the message.
  6. At the top of the customer page press Log call / note, choose the Type, write the Details, press Save to history.

If something goes wrong

  • “Type the street, town and state.” means the address was too short. Add the town and state.
  • Adding a property can be refused by the website (for example a plan limit). The message appears at the bottom as a toast.
  • Cancelling a prompt box leaves everything as it was.
