Invoice editor extras: line details, discount label, custom fields, footer and licence line
The small invoice boxes that are easy to miss: line Details, Discount label, custom field rows, and the footer and licence lines.

These boxes sit inside the invoice editor (Contractor Hub → Invoices → New invoice) and the invoice design settings (Settings → Invoice design). The full invoice form is in the article invoice-form-fields; the design boxes are in the two invoice design articles. This article gives the exact on-screen wording of the extras and what each does.
Before you start
- Business address, phone, email and website come from Settings → Business profile, not from these boxes.
Fields
In the invoice editor

Steps
- Open Contractor Hub → Invoices → New invoice and pick the customer.
- For each line, type the item, then use Details (optional) for the extra wording.
- To give a discount, type the amount, choose $ or %, and type the Label customers will see.
- Use + Add a field for a PO number or job site. Fill Label and Value.
- Check the live preview on the right. It shows exactly what the customer gets.
- Set the licence and footer lines once in Settings → Invoice design and press Save there.
If something goes wrong
- The licence line does not print: turn on the License line switch under Details to show.
- A custom field is blank on the invoice: a row with an empty Value may be skipped (not verified in code); fill both boxes.
