The Security screen protects your Hub account with a second step at sign-in. It also shows who signed in and what changed.
Where to find it: Contractor Hub → Settings & Integrations → Security. Every Hub user can open it for their own account. The owner also sees team controls.
Before you start
- Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy.
- If the screen says “This website cannot keep the key safe yet (a PHP part is missing)”, ask your website host to turn on OpenSSL. Until then the setup button is off.
Two-step sign-in (when it is off)

If your company requires it for managers, a red note says “Your company needs managers to use two-step sign-in. Turn it on now to carry on working.”
Set up your authenticator app

Your recovery codes
Each code works once if you lose your phone. Copy, Download (a text file) and Print save them. Tick I have saved these codes somewhere safe to enable Done.
Two-step sign-in (when it is on)
The screen shows “On” with the date, and how many recovery codes are left. If three or fewer remain it warns you.

Managers must use two-step sign-in

“Where two-step sign-in applies” lists each sign-in path as Covered or Not covered, read-only. If the site administrator switched it off for the whole site, a warning says so.
Sign out my other devices
Sign out other devices ends every other browser and phone sign-in after you confirm “Sign out everywhere else?”. You stay signed in here.
Your team (shown when you have team members)
The table shows Person, Role and Two-step (On or Off). Click Reset beside someone who has it on, type Type your own password to confirm, then click Reset two-step. That person is signed out everywhere and can set it up again. Cancel closes the form.
Sign-in history
Sign-in history is kept for the number of days shown on screen and addresses are shortened on purpose.

Account activity
This log shows who changed what and when: reviews, library, security, your data, automations, training, messages and calls, billing and sign-ins.

Steps
- Open Security. Type Your password, to begin and click Set up two-step sign-in.
- Scan the picture with your app, type the 6-digit code under Code from the app, and click Turn on.
- Copy, download or print the recovery codes. Tick the saved box and click Done.
- Owners: tick Require it for managers and click Save if you want the rule.
- Next time you sign in, enter your password and then the app code.
Tips
- Store recovery codes away from your phone.
- If someone lost their phone, use Reset in Your team, not a password reset.
If something goes wrong
- Code rejected: check your phone’s clock, or use a recovery code.
- Locked out with no codes: ask the owner to use Reset in Your team.
- Setup button is off: your host needs OpenSSL.
