Settings → Price book: plants, removals, landscape lighting

Every price-book number for plant types, removals and landscape lighting, including the three-number boxes.

This is the third part of Settings → Prices and quotes → Price book. It covers Plants, Removals and Landscape lighting. Plants and Removals boxes hold three numbers each, separated by commas. The Plants section also has a size note for each type that cannot be edited here (for example “#3 container” for shrubs).

Warning: Every figure here is a placeholder, not approved. Replace each with your own costs and times.

Before you start

  • Your nursery price list: cost per tree, evergreen, shrub, perennial, grass, annual and vine in the sizes you normally sell.
  • Hours you spend to plant each type, and the cost of planting mix and stakes per plant.
  • Your disposal fees, and how long removals take.
  • Your cost for lighting fixtures, transformers and wire.

How to enter the three-number boxes

A box such as Trees shows three numbers separated by commas. Keep the order exactly: for Plants the order is cost, hours, planting mix. For Removals the order is first value (unused), hours, disposal cost. If you type a different number of values the estimate may read the wrong one, so always type all three and keep the commas.

Buttons

Field (exact label) What it does for VisionScaper What to enter and example Default / notes
Save price book (button) Stores your edited numbers. Press once after editing. Message “Saved.”
Reset to defaults (button) Clears all your overrides everywhere in the price book. Press, then OK to confirm. Cannot be undone.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Prices and quotes → Price book and click Plants.
  2. For each plant type, replace the three numbers: cost per plant, hours per plant, planting mix per plant. Keep the commas.
  3. Click Removals and set hours and disposal for each thing you remove. Leave the first number as it is.
  4. Click Landscape lighting and enter fixture, transformer, wire and hours.
  5. Press Save price book.
  6. Price a plan with plants and a removal to check the numbers.

Tips

  • The plant cost in the price book is the default; a plant you pick from the library can carry its own cost, and that wins.
  • A plant with a price of 0 in the book is flagged as needing a price.
  • Removals add a stump grinder day for trees at a fixed amount that is not on this screen.

If something goes wrong

  • Only one number is used. You left out commas or numbers. Retype all three.
  • A removal has no disposal line. The third value is 0, so no disposal line is added.
  • My lighting total is zero. The plan needs at least one light drawn; lighting is priced only when lights exist.
