Settings → Social & gallery: links and work gallery

Every box on the Social & gallery tab: eight social links with Show and Test, the live preview and the 60-photo work gallery.

Open the Contractor Hub, choose Settings, pick the Business group and the Social & gallery tab. This tab holds your eight social and review links, a live preview of how they look to homeowners, and a Work gallery of your best photos. Only approved contractor accounts use it.

Before you start

  • The full web addresses (or @names) of the pages you already have.
  • Photos of finished work, if you want a gallery. The gallery depends on your plan (which plan includes it is a placeholder assignment, not approved). Without it, the Work gallery card shows a locked note instead of the Add button.

Fields

Social links card

Every network has the same three controls: a link box, a Show tick box and a Test button. Links are shown in this order. Where space is tight (the Find a Contractor card) the first three switched-on links are shown. Your page, proposals and invoices show all of them. Every plan includes every network.

Add a photo (button) Adds one photo from your device to your gallery. Photos are shrunk to 1800 pixels on the longest side and saved as JPEG. Press it, pick a picture. Repeat for more. Up to 60 photos. At 60 it says “Your gallery holds 60 photos. Remove one to add another.” If your plan does not include the gallery you see a prompt to upgrade.
Remove photo (✕ on each photo) Deletes that photo from the gallery. Press the small ✕ at the photo corner. Immediate.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Business → Social & gallery.
  2. In Google Business Profile, paste the full link to your profile.
  3. For Facebook, Instagram, Houzz, YouTube and TikTok you may type your @name; for Nextdoor and LinkedIn paste the full link.
  4. Leave Show ticked for the links you want visible. Untick the rest.
  5. Press Save social links. Fix any red message and save again.
  6. Press Test next to a link to confirm it opens the right page.
  7. In Work gallery, press Add a photo and choose your best finished jobs.

Tips

  • Put your best three networks first by filling them in; the first three switched on appear on your Find a Contractor card.
  • Unticking Show is better than deleting a link if you may want it back.
  • Photos should show finished work, not before photos of customers’ faces or house numbers.

If something goes wrong

  • A red message appears under a link. The address does not match that network. Copy the address from your browser bar on that network’s page.
  • Test says to save first. The box holds an @name, not a full link. Save, then test.
  • No Add a photo button. Your plan does not include the gallery. The card says so.
  • Too many photos. Remove one, then add again.
