How acceptance works
- Visitors see the notice “By continuing to use this website you agree to the Terms of Service” until they acknowledge it, and again when the terms change.
- People creating an account or applying as a contractor also tick a box.
- Each acceptance is stored with the version, method (notice, signup or contractor), time and the IP address. Only the last 20 entries per person are kept.
- The page shows “Last updated” with the date you last saved.
Steps
- Write headings with
##, bullets with-. - Use
{brand}instead of typing your business name. - Save, then open the Terms page to review.
Tips
- The default text has 12 sections including contractor, hiring and canvassing rules.
If something goes wrong
- Headings not showing: the
##must be at the start of the line followed by a space.
