The Designer is the full-screen studio where you place plants, paint ground materials and watch a yard grow on top of a photo. This article names every part of the screen so the other articles make sense.

From left to right you will see:

• Home (house icon, “My designs”): leaves the design and goes back to the home screen. The design saves first.
• Design name: a text box. Type to rename the design.
• View tabs: one tab per view (angle) of this design, plus Add view. Double-click a tab to rename it.
• Status: shows “Saving…”, “Saved” or “Not saved”.
• Undo and Redo, then History and Layers.
• A cloud icon when you are signed in, meaning the design is mirrored to your account.
• Ask AI (sparkle button) opens the Design with AI panel.
• A Get a quote style button appears only if the site owner has turned on sending designs to the business.
• More (the menu button): Design versions & notes, Compare designs, Presentation mode, Save a picture, Share on social media, Print, Save to my Inspiration Board, Post to VisionScaper Browser, Request a consultation, Ask a question, and “Help: show me around”. Items for contractors appear only for signed-in contractors.

Some tools hold sub-tools that appear as tabs at the top of the side panel: Add has Plants & things, Mulch, stone & lawn and Draw beds & patios. Photo setup has Scale, Crop and Adjust. Erase & fill has Pick the spot and Remove it.

The panel on the right shows the options for the tool you chose. On a narrow screen use the small grip to show or hide it.

• Season buttons: Peak look, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.
• See it grow slider with Play and a Fully grown button.
• A scale chip, “Hold to see the original photo”, Flip sunlight direction, and the Day/night toggle.

A strip above the picture walks a new user through five steps: Set the scale, Add plants, Add mulch, stone or a bed, Watch it grow, Save, share or send. Show me jumps to the right tool, Next step skips, and the x hides the guide. The ? opens “How VisionScaper works”.

• Zoom with the mouse wheel over the picture, pinch on a touch screen, or the + / fit / − buttons.
• Hold Space while using any tool to pan.

• A button you expect is missing: some items only show when you are signed in, or when the site owner has turned the feature on.
• The panel is hidden on a phone: tap the grip between the picture and the panel.
