Your Find a Local Contractor listing and the requests it brings

Apply to be listed, fill your profile, receive homeowner requests as Requests, and handle them.

Find a Local Contractor is the list homeowners search inside VisionScaper. They see ratings, reviews, finished designs, services and distance, then tap Request a quote. A request lands in your Hub as a quote with the status Request.

Get listed

Any landscaping or hardscape contractor can apply. The screen says your license and insurance are checked before approving.

  1. Open the Hub and go to Apply (shown if your account is not yet approved), or Settings and Business profile.
  2. Fill Business name, Your name, Business phone, Business email, Website, Years in business.
  3. Fill License # and tick “We carry general liability insurance”.
  4. Under Where you work set the address, town, state, ZIP and Service radius (miles).
  5. Tick your Services: Landscape design, Planting, Mulch & stone, Lawn installation, Patios & walkways, Retaining walls, Landscape lighting, Fencing, Drainage & grading, Tree work, Lawn care.
  6. Write About your business. Add a logo.
  7. New applicants tick both agreements: the Terms of Service, and keeping contractor-only information confidential.
  8. Tap Apply to be a VisionScaper contractor. While pending, the page says “Your application is being reviewed” and you are emailed when approved.

What homeowners see

Your logo, town, distance, star rating, jobs done, Licensed and Insured badges, services, social links, and “Pay online” if you take online payments. Finished jobs you mark “show this job” appear on your public profile. In the list, up to 3 social links show on your card, and all of them on your page, proposals and invoices.

If you are not taking requests, your listing says “Not taking new requests right now”. That happens when your account cannot take writes or you have used up your monthly requests allowance. The allowance is a plan limit (placeholder, not approved).

Handle a request

  1. Open Quotes, filter Requests. Or use the row on Needs you.
  2. Open it. The request card shows the homeowner’s message, timing, budget and photos, and the plants in their design. A fuller brief shows services, budget, timing, contact, priorities (must have, nice to have) and a completeness score.
  3. Tap Message them, Book a site visit or Ask for missing details.
  4. When ready tap Build the quote (the main button).
  5. A conversation also starts in your Inbox, preloaded with the brief.

Tips

  • Add your own intake questions so briefs arrive complete.
  • Reply fast. The Inbox shows how long a customer has waited.
  • Keep your service radius honest.

If something goes wrong

  • Not in the list. You may still be pending, or outside the searcher’s area.
  • Listed as not accepting. Check your plan’s monthly allowance.
  • A request has few details. Use Ask for missing details.
