Telnyx is the second text service VisionScaper supports. Use it instead of Twilio, or as a backup. This is a site administrator task.

• Create a Telnyx account, get a sending number, and create a messaging profile. Follow Telnyx’s current instructions for each of these.
• Have your Telnyx API key ready.
• US texting still needs carrier registration. See “Get ready to text (A2P 10DLC)”.

1. In WordPress, go to Settings → VisionScaper Messaging.
2. Under Texts, set Text service to Telnyx.
3. Fill in these boxes:
   – Telnyx key: your API key.
   – Telnyx webhook secret: a secret you choose. VisionScaper uses it to check that incoming webhooks are real.
   – Telnyx sending number: the number texts come from.
   – Telnyx messaging profile: your profile.
4. Copy the Webhook address shown on the same page. In your Telnyx account, add it as the place Telnyx sends message events and incoming texts. Follow Telnyx’s current instructions for where that setting is.
5. Click Save.

Boxes for keys show “saved – leave blank to keep” once filled. Leave them empty when you save other settings and the saved value stays.

Tick If it fails, try the other one. If the chosen service cannot send a text, VisionScaper tries the other service, as long as it is set up too. For Twilio to be the backup, fill in the Twilio boxes in Settings → VisionScaper.

• VisionScaper checks incoming webhooks with a signature header, x-telnyx-signature, which is a SHA-256 HMAC of the message body made with your webhook secret. The code notes this is a generic check and that each provider’s own signature scheme is not implemented. If Telnyx does not send a header like this, incoming events may be rejected. This has not been verified against live Telnyx traffic.
• Telnyx is ready for VisionScaper only when both Telnyx key and Telnyx sending number are filled in.

• Delivery status never updates: the webhook address or secret is missing or wrong.
• Texts do not send: check the key and sending number, then try a test text from a conversation.
• You see a 403 “Bad signature” in provider logs: the secret in VisionScaper does not match what the provider signs with.
