Ask customers for reviews
Set your review links, when requests go out, and share a review link and QR code.
Reviews bring in new customers. VisionScaper asks customers to rate you first and then offers your review sites.
Set up your links
- Go to Marketing → ⭐ Reviews.
- Under ⭐ Where reviews go, fill in:
– Google: Google Business Profile → Get more reviews → copy the link, or paste your Place ID.
– Facebook: your page’s reviews link.
– Another site name and link, for example Houzz. - Click Save links. Use the Test buttons to open each.
- Optionally tick Also offer a VisionScaper review (with photos).
Every customer is offered these sites. The screen says hiding them from unhappy customers breaks Google’s rules and the FTC’s. Anyone with a problem can also tell you privately and you are alerted right away. Yelp isn’t offered because it doesn’t allow asking (per the screen).
When to ask
Under ⏱️ When to ask:
- Review requests are on (master switch).
- When a job is marked Done, When the final invoice is paid, and During maintenance — after every N completed visits.
- Wait N days after the job before asking. Default 2.
- Send by: Best channel, Text or Email.
- One reminder if they don’t answer, after N days. Default 5.
- Don’t ask the same customer more than once every N days. Default 180.
- Alert me right away about ratings of 3★ or less.
The wording is in Settings → Messages & alerts → Review request.
Ask anyone, any time
- Press ⭐ Ask for a review on any customer, finished job, paid invoice or appointment. Pick the channel and Now or On my usual delay. If they were asked recently, you can choose to send anyway.
- Under 🙋 Ask anyone, any time, copy your public review link or open the QR code. Click the QR button to print it or download it as an SVG. Put the link on invoices, business cards and truck magnets.
Track what happens
The top of the tab counts Asked, Opened, Rated (with average stars), Went to Google / Facebook, Private feedback and Scheduled. Recent lists each request with its status.
Tips
- Happy customers go straight to your Google page.
- Reply to every review. See “Draft replies to reviews with AI”.
If something goes wrong
- A request did not go: the customer may be opted out, have no contact info, or marketing is paused.
- No Google link: the setup card on Today suggests adding it.
