Entitlements page: the catch-up window

Let accounts that subscribed before today keep Route Optimizer and job costing until a date you choose.

Where: Settings → VisionScaper Entitlements → Catch-up window. Administrators only.

Before version 2.38.0 some features on the plan cards (Route Optimizer, job costing) were not actually switched off for lower plans. With billing on, this window lets accounts that subscribed before you open it keep the features you pick until a date, so nobody loses something without notice. It is off unless you open it. Every use is labelled “grandfathered” in the decision. When open, the page shows “Open now:” with the features, the end date and the reason.

Fields

Field (exact label) What it does What to enter Default / notes
Route Optimizer (checkbox ent[keys][]) Includes Route Optimizer in the window. Tick to include. Ticked only if already open.
Job costing & profitability (checkbox ent[keys][]) Includes job costing in the window. Tick to include. Same.
Until (date) (ent[until]) The last day (to 23:59:59 UTC) the window works. Pick a date. 60 days from today (or the current end date).
Reason (ent[reason]) Stored with the window and in the audit log. Required when any box is ticked. e.g. “Notice period for lower plans”. The current reason, if open.
Open / update (untick everything to close) Saves the window. With no boxes ticked it closes the window. Press once.

Only accounts whose subscription was created before the moment you open the window qualify, and only for a feature their plan lacks. They then get it as on (or unlimited).

Steps

  1. Tick the features to keep open.
  2. Choose the end date.
  3. Type a reason.
  4. Press Open / update.
  5. Confirm “Open now: …” appears and a “grandfather_set” audit line exists.
  6. To close it, untick both boxes and press the same button.

If something goes wrong

  • “Choose the features and give a reason.” Tick at least one feature and add a reason.
  • Leaving the date empty gives a window that has already ended (not guarded in code); always pick a date.
