Settings → Quick replies: every field explained

Field-by-field guide to saving one-tap answers you reuse in any conversation.

Where to find it: Contractor Hub → Settings & Integrations → Settings → group Messages and connections → tab ⚡ Quick replies. Owner screen.

What it controls: a list of answers you send often. Page text: “In any conversation, tap ⚡ to drop one in. {customer_first_name} fills in automatically.” The purpose line reads: “Answers you send often, ready to drop into any conversation in one tap.”

Before you start

  • The number of replies you can keep is a plan limit. A usage bar shows it when your plan has a limit (placeholder numbers, not approved). If the feature is not in your plan, a lock note shows. See settings-plan-usage-and-credits.

Fields

Field (exact label) What it does for VisionScaper What to enter and example Default / notes
Reply box (one per reply, no label) The text of one saved reply. It is offered when you tap ⚡ in a conversation. Up to 1000 characters per reply. Hi {customer_first_name}, thanks for the details! I can come out on Thursday between 9 and 11. Does that work? If you have none yet, two samples are filled in: one offering a site visit with [day] and [time] to replace, and one promising a quote within two business days.
Remove (trash button) Takes that reply off the list on screen. Click, then save.
+ Add a quick reply Adds an empty reply box. Click and type.
Save quick replies Saves the list. Empty boxes are dropped. If you are over your plan’s limit you get a plan message and nothing is saved. Click once. Toast “Saved.”

The one detail code mentioned on this screen is {customer_first_name}. Whether other codes work in quick replies is not stated on this screen (not verified in code).

Square-bracket words such as [day] are only placeholders for you to overwrite by hand; VisionScaper does not fill them in.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Messages and connections → ⚡ Quick replies.
  2. Edit the two sample replies, or delete them.
  3. Click + Add a quick reply and type each one you use often.
  4. Use {customer_first_name} where you would write the person’s name.
  5. Click Save quick replies.
  6. Open an Inbox conversation and tap ⚡ to check your replies are there.

Tips

  • Keep each reply under about two sentences.
  • Use square brackets for the bits you must fill in each time, and remember to change them before sending.

If something goes wrong

  • “Your plan includes N saved quick replies”: remove some or upgrade.
  • Reply missing after saving: the box was empty.
  • Name did not fill in: how the fill-in works was not traced in code, so check the Inbox article quick-replies.
