The fal.ai key is the most widely used AI key in VisionScaper.

• A fal.ai account with credit. Check fal.ai’s current pricing.
• WordPress admin access.

1. Create a key in your fal.ai dashboard. Follow their current instructions.
2. Open Settings → VisionScaper in WordPress admin and find the AI section.
3. Paste the key into fal.ai API key.
4. Press Save Changes.

• AI Smart Select (the segmenting tool) and identifying garden items and materials.
• The vision model setting (see Vision model setting).
• Community picture checks, if you tick “Check posted pictures with AI before they go live”.
• AI Marketing helpers.
• AI quote and property-walk helpers in the Contractor Hub and the phone app. The phone-app options are separate tick boxes: voice-note summaries, and estimate from a recorded walk. Both start off.

• AI image generations per customer per day sets how many AI images each signed-in customer can make a day. The code accepts 0 to 500.
• Every VisionScaper AI design, tweak and AI-tool edit uses one. Smart Select and Identify are free to the customer.
• No daily limit for site administrators (for testing) lets admins skip the limit.
• Customers can buy extra credits if you enable the store. See Stripe setup.
• The default limit in the code is a placeholder, not approved.

• Start with a low daily limit, then raise it once you see real usage.
• Watch your fal.ai balance. When it runs out, AI buttons fail.
• Smart Select and identify show as available only when this key exists. If Pl@ntNet is also set, plant identification tries Pl@ntNet first.

• AI tools are greyed out for a signed-out visitor: expected. They need an account.
• Marketing screen says AI is “off — add a fal.ai key”: the key box is empty.
• Calls fail with errors after working before: fal.ai credit may have run out, or the key was revoked.
