Settings: Intake questions and Quick replies

Add your own questions to the homeowner request form and save quick replies you can drop into any conversation.

Intake questions

Path: Settings → Messages and connections → Intake questions.

Add the questions you always end up asking on the phone. Homeowners answer them before they send the request, so you can price the job the first time. If intake is not in your plan, you see a lock note.

  1. Pick a chip for a service, or Every request for questions asked on all requests.
  2. Open VisionScaper already asks N questions for this service to see the built-in ones.
  3. Click + Add a question.
  4. Type the question, for example “Is there a dog in the yard during work hours?”
  5. Choose the type: Short answer, Long answer, Pick one, Pick any, Yes / No, Number, or Date.
  6. For Pick one or Pick any, type choices separated by commas.
  7. Optionally add why you ask. People answer more when they know why.
  8. Click Save my questions.

Quick replies

Path: Settings → Messages and connections → Quick replies.

In any conversation, tap the lightning icon to drop one in. {customer_first_name} fills in automatically.

  1. Edit the starter replies or click + Add a quick reply.
  2. Use the trash icon to remove one.
  3. Click Save quick replies.

Starter examples ask to come look at the property or promise a quote within two business days. Replace them with your own wording. Placeholders such as [day] and [time] are text you replace by hand before sending.

A usage bar may show the number of quick replies your plan allows.

Tips

  • Keep intake short. Three to five questions per service is easier for homeowners.
  • Add a “why” for questions about gates, pets or utilities.
  • Quick replies save typing. Keep them friendly and specific.

If something goes wrong

  • Questions do not appear for a service. Make sure the right service chip was selected when you added them.
  • Plan prompt appears. The feature or its limit is not in your plan. See [plans-billing-credits-and-usage].
  • A blank reply is dropped. Empty replies are not saved.
