Path: Settings → Prices and quotes → Terms & payments.

• Proposal terms: shown on every proposal above the signature. You can change them per quote. A starter text is provided. Have it reviewed before you rely on it.
• Default payment schedule: rows with a label, a percent and a “when”. The starter plan is a “Deposit to schedule” (using your deposit percent) “when you sign” and a “Balance” “on completion”. Click + Add payment to add a row, or the close icon to remove one.

Click Save.

Note: Make the percents add up to 100.

Path: Settings → Prices and quotes → Follow-up plan. This is the default plan used every time you send a quote. Dates count from the day you send it.

The recommended plan is a thank-you the next day, a quick text on day 3, the before-and-after on day 7, a scheduling nudge on day 14, an offer to adjust on day 21, and a polite close-the-loop on day 30.

Each step has a day, a time, a channel (email or text), a subject and body, and choices for what to include (link, image, total, scope). Texts need texting set up. Use details like {customer_first_name}, {project_name}, {quote_total}, {quote_link}, {company_name}, {contractor_name}, {valid_until}, {month}, {customer_address} and {deposit_amount}. The editor previews sample values.

Buttons: Save as my default plan and Reset to the recommended plan.

1. Edit proposal terms for your business.
2. Set the payment schedule.
3. Open Follow-up plan and edit the wording in your own voice.
4. Remove steps you do not want.
5. Save as my default plan.

• You can still change terms and follow-ups on a single quote.
• Follow-ups send through a scheduled task that runs every 5 minutes. See [wp-cron-backups-and-updates].
• Texts follow quiet-hours rules. See [settings-messages-and-reminders].

• Follow-ups do not send. WP-Cron may not be running, or texting is not set up.
• A tag shows as unknown. Pick tags from the list instead of typing.
