The Jobs screen: from signed quote to finished job
How signed quotes become jobs, how the Jobs list is grouped, and what you can do on a job.
In VisionScaper, a job is a quote your customer has signed. Signed quotes land on the Jobs screen so you can schedule them, track what they cost and invoice them.
Where to find it
Open the Contractor Hub, go to the Customers & Sales group in the left menu, and choose Jobs.
How the list is grouped
The list is split into groups. A group only shows when it has jobs in it.
| Group | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ready to schedule | Signed, but no visit is booked yet |
| Deposit paid – ready to schedule | Signed and the deposit is in |
| Scheduled | A visit is on the calendar |
| In progress | Work has started |
| Done | Marked finished |
| Cancelled | Called off |
If the screen is empty, it shows “No jobs yet” and a button to go to your quotes.
Steps: work a job from start to finish
- Open Jobs and tap a job. This opens the quote with a Job card.
- Check the line “Job status”. Change it with the button at the top of the quote. The card tells you this itself: “change it with the button at the top”.
- Under Visits, tap Schedule a visit to book a day. You can also book from the Calendar (see “Calendar month view”).
- As work happens, enter real costs under Job costing — actual costs (see “Job costing: actual costs”).
- Add finished photos under Finished photos with Add photo.
- Tap Save job.
- Invoice the job from the Invoices list on the same card.
When a job is marked done, the customer is told automatically and asked for a review on your timing, according to the screen’s own description.
Tips
- Tick the box to show this job (design plus finished photo) on your public page if you want to use it as a showcase.
- A job with a signed proposal also shows its next step in a status line at the top when you open it from Field work.
- The crew sees the job in My work only after you assign people to its visit.
If something goes wrong
- A signed quote is not on the list. Check that the quote status is signed. Draft and sent quotes are not jobs yet.
- You cannot edit the quote text. A signed quote is locked on purpose. Use job changes for extra work.
- The status will not change. Use the status button at the top of the quote, not the Job card.
