Marketing settings: Email service and sender
Every field in Health and Email service on Settings → VisionScaper Marketing: Postmark, stream, from address, sender name, webhook.
On this page
Find it in WordPress under Settings → VisionScaper Marketing. Only administrators see it. Contractors run their own marketing from Contractor Hub; this page is the setup they share.
Health box
Read-only line showing last run time, messages due now, messages sent in 24 hours, which email service is in use, whether Twilio is ready and whether AI is on. If sending has not run in 20 minutes, a red warning tells you to add a real server cron job every 5 minutes and add DISABLE_WP_CRON to the site’s configuration file.
Before you start
- A Postmark account, a Server API token and a Broadcast message stream:
get-postmark-key. - A sender address verified in Postmark, with DKIM and Return-Path records, plus a DMARC record. Follow Postmark’s current instructions.
Fields
| Field (exact label) | What it does for VisionScaper | What to enter and example | Default / notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Send marketing email with m[email_provider] |
Two radio buttons. Postmark (recommended): separate Broadcast stream, bounce and spam handling. This website’s own mail: uses your SMTP plugin, no bounce handling, daily limits at many mailboxes. | Choose one. | This website’s own mail |
Postmark Server API token m[postmark_token] |
The token VisionScaper uses to send through Postmark. Saved tokens show as dots. Typing dots or leaving it keeps the old one. | Paste token from Postmark’s server API tokens. | Empty |
clear m[postmark_token_clear] |
Appears only when a token is saved. Tick it and save with the box empty to erase the token. | Tick to remove. | Unticked |
Broadcast stream ID m[postmark_stream] |
The Postmark stream used for marketing. Other mail uses the “outbound” stream. Lowercase letters, numbers, – and _ only. | broadcast |
broadcast |
Send from address m[from_email] |
The address emails come from. Replies go to each contractor’s own email. Postmark is used only when this is a valid email. | hello@mail.yoursite.com |
Empty |
Sender name m[from_format] |
The name shown as sender, up to 80 characters. {company_name} becomes the contractor’s business name. |
{company_name} via VisionScaper |
{company_name} |
| Postmark webhook | Read-only address containing a private key. Add it in Postmark on your Broadcast stream with Delivery, Bounce, Spam Complaint and Subscription Change ticked. | Select, copy, paste into Postmark. | Generated automatically |
Steps
- Choose Postmark.
- Paste the token, stream and from address, and set the sender name.
- Copy the webhook into Postmark.
- Press Save & send me a test email. The notice says “Saved — test email sent to” your address, or “Saved, but the test failed:” and why.
If something goes wrong
- Test fails: check the token, stream name and that the from address is verified.
- Mail goes to spam: add DKIM and DMARC records.
- Postmark is silently not used: the from address is empty or invalid.
