Settings: Appearance & layout
Change colors, fonts, spacing and screen layout for yourself, your business or the whole site, with readability checks, undo and history.
Path: Settings → Business → Appearance & layout.
Who the change applies to
At the top, Change the look for offers up to three choices:
- Just me: only you, on every device you sign in on.
- My business: your Hub, and optionally the pages your customers see. Shown to contractors.
- Whole site: everyone. Shown to the site owner. The owner can lock settings and set default layouts per role.
Tabs
Look · Colors · Text · Shape & spacing · Layout · History · Site controls (site owner only).
Look holds:
- Light, dark or high contrast (including “Match my device”).
- Ready-made looks, such as Dark, High contrast, Earth tones, Premium slate, Ocean, Sunrise, Clean & classic, Compact, Comfortable and Spacious.
- Your brand colors: Brand / primary, Secondary, Main call to action, and Background tint.
- Describe it – AI theme: type a description and click Create it. The AI only picks from approved colors, fonts and safe sizes.
- Your customers’ pages (My business only): carries your brand color to proposals and invoices. Your internal layout never changes what customers see.
Text and Shape & spacing cover fonts, sizes, corners, shadows, density, icons and motion. Layout lets you reorder, hide, show or pin pieces of each screen. Required items (Settings, Plan, Help, Account) can move but never disappear.
Readability checks
VisionScaper checks every color. A status line says “Passes readability checks” or shows how many colors were adjusted. If a color would be hard to read, it is nudged and you are told. You cannot save while a readability problem exists.
Steps
- Pick who the change is for.
- Choose a ready-made look or set your brand colors.
- Click Preview on devices to check it.
- For Just me, click Save my look. For business or site, click Save draft, then Review & publish.
- To go back, use Undo, Redo, Reset to inherited look, or the History tab.
History keeps published versions and up to 10 saved themes.
Tips
- Drafts are visible only to you until published.
- Changes preview live before you save.
If something goes wrong
- A color is locked. The site owner locked it. You will see a lock note.
- Publish is disabled. Fix the readability problems first.
