Bring in leads from Angi, Thumbtack and Google Local Services

Give each lead source a secret address or paste its email, and new requests land as customers without doubles.

Request sources (the screen at the Hub address #/sales/lead-sources; the exact menu group was not verified) collects leads from outside sources. Each one arrives tagged by source, without doubles, as a customer marked as a lead.

Be aware

  • The layouts of the emails and data these readers expect are based on typical notification layouts. They have not been checked against live emails or live webhooks from Angi, Thumbtack or Google. If something important is missing, the lead is still saved and marked Needs review.
  • VisionScaper does not read a mailbox for you. The plugin has no mailbox code. To forward automatically, use a mail-forwarding service that posts to your secret address.
  • This is a plan feature (a placeholder, not approved). If it is not in your plan you see “This is not part of your plan.”

Steps: secret address

  1. Open Request sources. You see a card for each source (for example Angi, Thumbtack, Google Local Services).
  2. Copy the Secret address (keep it private) with Copy address.
  3. Give that address to your forwarding service, or to the source if it can send web requests. It accepts JSON, form posts or a raw email body.
  4. Make a new address at any time with Make a new address. The old one stops working right away.
  5. Turn off a source without deleting it.

Steps: paste an email

  1. Scroll to the paste box. Pick the source.
  2. Paste the whole request email or the forwarded text.
  3. Click the preview to see what was read: Name, Phone, Email, Address, Service, Message. It also says if this looks like an existing customer.
  4. Click Add this request.

Test first

Click Test with a sample on a source. It shows a sample email and what was read. Nothing was added.

What happens to a lead

  • People are matched by email or phone to existing customers, never by name alone. A repeat lead updates the existing record. Statuses: Added, Matched an existing customer, Sent twice (counted once), Not added yet (plan limit), Could not be added.
  • Recent requests lists each with its source badge. Mark seen and Mark all seen clear the “new” count. Click Open customer to continue. Try again retries a request held by a plan limit.
  • Raw copies are trimmed and deleted after 90 days.

Tips

  • Mark requests as seen so the new count stays useful.
  • A lead that lands in your customers feeds the Marketing assistant’s “New leads needing contact”.

If something goes wrong

  • Missing details: open the customer and fill in what the red note says is missing.
  • Duplicate: if you see “You already added this email,” it was counted once.
